Although similar in execution to the carpet cleaning, upholstery & leather are altogether more complex. There is more to know, more to learn and there are more precise skills we need to use. This is exactly why so many carpet cleaning companies don’t offer this service. For them, it’s too much hassle. To be brutally frank – they’re not up to the job!
Rinse extraction upholstery cleaning
This is similar to the carpet rinse-extraction process. The key difference is that, with the sofa cleaning process, we use much smaller hand-held tools. These work at lower water pressures with finer spray jets to allow for thinner, more delicate fabrics.
First we vacuum away the dry soil. We then treat the fabric with our eco-friendly cleaning solution. Next, we rinse the fabric and then vacuum away any residue. To speed the drying process, we absorb excess residual moisture with hand held terry towels, checking our work as we go. In the case of a fabric with a nap or pile, we carefully “groom” the pile in the correct direction.
As an added option, we finish the job by applying a soil and stain protective treatment.
Low moisture, quick dry sofa cleaning Redditch
This process is best for upholstery which isn’t too badly soiled or stained. Typically, we use this process in the commercial environment, but with occasional applications in the home.
First, we apply cleaning solution to the fabric upholstery. This is in the form of a fine mist-spray or foam. Then, with an absorbent pad, we wipe away the surface soil. After about 30 minutes, the upholstery will be dry, fresh and clean.
